Create and Manage Communication Plans

The Communication Plan feature will allow you to create and display all necessary radio channels for an integrated response. 

In this article, we will explain:

  • How to add a Communication Plan and functions to your Plan
  • How to edit functions in a Communication Plan
  • How to copy a Communication Plan from another Plan
  • How to delete a Communication Plan

ADD A COMMUNICATION PLAN AND FUNCTIONS TO YOUR PLAN

To add a Communication Plan to your Plan, navigate to your desired Plan and click the Master View menu near the upper-right corner of the screen to expand it, then click the Communication Plan menu item (Fig. 1) under the Resources section.

The Communication Plan screen will initially be empty (Fig. 2).

To add a function, click the Create Radio Function button (Fig. 2, above) near the top-right corner of the screen. The Communication Plan edit screen will be displayed (Fig. 3).

Enter the Function, Radio Type / Cache, Group, Zone / Channel / Frequency and Assignment information in the labeled fields (Fig. 3, above). Click the Save button when done.



EDIT FUNCTIONS IN A COMMUNICATION PLAN

After a Communication Plan has been created, it can be edited. To begin, click the name of a Communication Plan on the Communication Plan screen (Fig. 4) and the Communication Plan edit (Fig. 3, above) screen will be displayed.

Modify the fields as needed and click the Save button when complete.



COPY A COMMUNICATION PLAN

To copy a Communication Plan from another Plan, click the Select… pop-up menu near the right of the Communication Plan screen (Fig. 2, above). Select the Plan from which you would like to copy from the list, then click the Copy Communications Plan button below the pop-up menu (Fig. 5).

NOTE: All Communication Plans will be copied from the Plan you select. If not all are needed, see the DELETE A COMMUNICATION PLAN step below.



DELETE A COMMUNICATION PLAN

To Delete a Communication Plan, first click its name on the Communication Plan screen (Fig. 4, above).

After clicking a Communication Plan, the Communication Plan edit screen (Fig. 3, above) will be displayed.

Click the Delete button near the lower-right corner of the screen and then confirm deletion.
